Phthalates in Cosmetics Cause Reproductive Issues
Perfume and cosmetics with fragrances were found in a 2019 Study to contain phthalates; endocrine disrupting chemicals known to negatively affect reproduction due to their anti-androgenic (testosterone blocker) effects. Phthalates have been associated with birth defects, infertility, and lower sperm count. Phthalates, known xenoestrogens, are linked to hormone related issues like micropenis, undescended testicles, hypospadias, disrupted spermatogenesis, ovarian dysfunction and uterine fibroids.
